We know that money doesn't grow on trees, and in this tight economic time...we won't ask for much! Due to a recent fire inspection, it has come to our attention, that in order to continue producing plays at our new venue, ENCORE!, we need to have numerous circuits installed. This is necessary so that we are not using extension cords to connect from one light to another. While this is being done, we want to bring in addtional circuits so that we may have the most optimum lighting. If you've attended one of our recent productions at ENCORE! (our new venue,) you may have noticed that there is either on or off, or stage right or stage left with our current lights. If we use any more than that, we are blowing a fuse and cannot add in any color or scene change lighting. Lighting is critical in order to continue putting on the highest quality shows that we are accumstomed to. The total cost of this electrical work is $6,000. Now while it sounds like a lot, here is our plan: We are asking for a minimum of $5 donation (of course, we'll always take more...) and we are asking you to ask all of your friends to donate to our cause. Our plan is that if each of you get 20 people to donate at least $5.00, we will reach our goal quickly. Please remind your friends of the quality productions and the wonderful theater experience that Young Actors' Theatre is providing for the youth of San Diego. We hope you will join us in this quest to keep our new theater, ENCORE! open.
