Jessica has been involved in the theatre since she could walk. Since then she has gone on to direct, choreograph, perform, stage manage and work on numerous productions in and around San Diego County. She has worked in stage management at the San Diego Repertory Theatre and has been involved with multiple school productions in and around San Diego. She currently works for the San Diego Theatres with the Civic Theatre and the Balboa Theatre in Downtown San Diego. Directing Credits include: Peter Pan, Bye Bye Birdie, and Music Man among others. She is so insanely thrilled to be working on this show with such a brilliant artistic team.

Originally from the Bay Area, Joe moved to attend college at UC San Diego where he received his bachelor’s degree in Theatre. After receiving his degree, Joe worked with a few San Diego based theatre companies, including being stage manager for a production with Ion Theatre Company. He also was production stage manager for the Latin American Multimedia Company and their television production of Dos y Dos. For YAT, Joe has been both on stage and behind the scenes, and was stage manager for YAT’s productions of Grease, The Music Man, Hairspray, and Beauty and the Beast, as well as director for Schoolhouse Rock.

Matt is a cantor and director of the Youth Choir at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, where he recently starred as Joseph in the SJC Drama Ministry's production of Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He is always thrilled to musically direct in YAT productions. He loves being able to work with such talented students. Previous shows include Aladdin, Alice in Wonderland, Bye Bye Birdie,The Music Man, Schoolhouse Rocks, The Jungle Book and Mulan.​

Sarah is ecstatic to return to YAT as choreographer for Legally Blonde. Sarah began teaching dance and choreographing for YAT back in 2001 and choreographed a dozen or more shows, galas, and after school programs alongside Jean Isaac. Sarah last choreographed High School Musical with YAT in 2009 before leaving to to fulfill her long time dream of working as a face character for Disneyland and Disneyland Paris. Sarah now teaches Barre workout classes to adults at multiple Xtend Barre Studios and spends the rest of her time hanging out with her awesome 3 year old son, Wesley and 1 year old daughter, Betty Jean. Sarah would like to send a special shout out to her Adult tap students (you all should join adult tap at YAT) and would like to thank her husband Kevin for his support and for tucking the kids in at night.

Rachel Kolb

 

 

 

 

Rachel Kolb is so excited to be the Stage Manager for Legally Blonde. She has been involved with YAT since she was 6 and with technical theater at Young Actors' Theatre since she was 14, doing various behind the scene jobs. Some of her previous credits include Stage Manager for Fiddler on the Roof (YAT) and Stage Manager for Snoopy (YAT). The first she show ever worked crew on was Legally Blonde with Young Actors' Theatre in 2012 so it is so amazing that Legally Blonde is that show that she will do before she moves to Pittsburgh. Rachel just graduated high school and will be attending Carnegie Mellon University in the fall to get a degree in Theatrical Design and Production. Rachel is thrilled to be working with this amazing artistic team and cast to put on this fun and energetic show.

Assistant Stage Manager:

Ethan Tarlov

 

 

 

 

Ethan is a junior in high school and has been involved with theatre for the last four years. What started as backstage help for one of his sister's shows, has progressed into sound tech and stage management for his high school, YAT, and wherever else Mr. Demaree or his Dad needs him. Ethan's past credits include The Odd Couple (Saints Players, SM), Joseph (Saints Players, SM), Spelling Bee (YAT, SM), and Willy Wonka (YAT, ASM). He would like to thank Jessi, Joe, and Rachel for asking him to help with this show and, hopefully, the closest he will ever get to a courtroom.
