Matt is a cantor and director of the Youth Choir at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, where he recently starred as Joseph in the SJC Drama Ministry's production of Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He is always thrilled to musically direct in YAT productions. He loves being able to work with such talented students. Previous shows include Aladdin, Elf, Alice in Wonderland, Bye Bye Birdie The Music Man, Mulan and The Jungle Book, jr.​

Ricardo Valenzuela is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, NYC.  He choreographed countless musical theatre style numbers for San Diego Civic Dance Arts recitals, productions, camps, and their award winning showcase Collage for over 11 years.  Last year he earned two National Youth Theatre Award nominations for Outstanding Direction of a musical for his work on Junie B. Jones at SDJT, and Outstanding Choreography for his work on Cabaret at Mt. Carmel High School.  This summer he returned to SDJT to direct and choreograph Mr. Poppers Penguins, and is currently choreographing Sleepy Hollow.  Ricardo is also providing the choreography for Coronado Playhouse upcoming production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.  As an actor, he recorded two full seasons as a lead character in the Latin American television show titled Dos y Dos. He has performed at the Starlight Bowl, Moonlight Amphitheatre, San Diego Musical Theatre, Hispanic Arts Theatre, San Diego Asian Repertory Theatre, Coronado Playhouse, Christian Community Theatre, and on the Holland America Cruise Line as a contestant of Dancing with the Stars at sea with celebrity judges Kym Johnson and Carson Kressley.

Jerrica is an accomplished musician and plays piano, strings and reeds with various ensembles around San Diego including ensembles at Grossmont, SDSU, local playhouses and the City Ballet Orchestra. She played in the orchestra for YAT'S production of Beauty and the Beast and Ragtime, and was previously the Music Director of YAT's Thoroughly Modern Millie, Into the Woods, My Son Pinocchio, Jr., and Lion King Jr. as well as stage managing Peter and the Starcatcher, Wizard of Oz, Annie and Seussical. Jerrica is excited to be in such a fun production, Mary Poppins!

Attending SDSCPA, Devon Jack is a theatre obsessor who is either on the stage performing, or behind the scenes stage managing. He is a Senior this year, and is looking to stay in the business and go to college for a BA in Theatre Arts. He also has a dream of teaching middle school theatre. Devon enjoys spending his time with local theatre companies, volunteering hours to help on crew, while also looking for experience in set design. “The fun for me in collaboration is, one, working with other people just makes you smarter; that's proven” -Lin-Manuel Miranda

Mia Jativa is a sophomore at a performing arts school and is very excited to be on the stage management team for the first time. She has performed with Young Actors' Theatre on numerous occasions. Some of her favorite roles include Bagheera (Jungle Book) Nala (Lion King) and Jasmine (Aladdin). She is currently playing a Kit Kat Klub Girl in her school musical of Cabaret. Mia hopes to gain a lot of experience being on this amazing artistic team!

Originally from the Bay Area, Joe moved to attend college at UC San Diego where he received his bachelor’s degree in Theatre. After receiving his degree, Joe worked with a few San Diego based theatre companies, including being stage manager for a production with Ion Theatre Company. He also was production stage manager for the Latin American Multimedia Company and their television production of Dos y Dos. For YAT, Joe has been both on stage and behind the scenes, and was stage manager for YAT’s productions of Grease, The Music Man, Hairspray, Shrek and Beauty and the Beast, as well as director for Schoolhouse Rock, Legally Blonde, Peter & the Starcatcher and Seussical.
