The show is a fundraiser put on by the Little Sisters of Hoboken to raise money to bury sisters accidently poisoned by the convent cook, Sister Julia (Child of God). Updated with new jokes, additional lyrics, two new arrangements, and a brand new song.

Chrissy Burns is thrilled to be Directing & Choreographing some of your favorite YAT Directors in our Fun-Raiser production of Nunsense.  This is the 11th show she has Directed here at YAT (SpongeBob, 42nd Street, Puffs, Freaky Friday, Matilda, Disenchanted, Songs For A New World, Smile, Into The Woods & Snoopy) and she plans to do many more! She has also Directed and Choreographed shows for many of San Diego’s Community and Professional Theaters as well as serving as an Associate at the Old Globe Theatre. She has worked as an actor on many shows and projects throughout San Diego and beyond. Chrissy is a private voice and audition coach preparing her students for a successful career in the performing arts. Chrissy is proud to work and create in the safe, open, environment of YAT and has a passion for mentoring young professionals through theatre training. Nunsense holds a special place in her heart as it was her directorial debut back in 2005 at Lamplighters Theatre. Chrissy lives in La Mesa with her beloved wife and Co-Director (a former YAcTor herself) Jessica.

Jessie Burns  is thrilled to return to YAT! She was last seen working at YAT on The SpongeBob Musical and the runaway hit, Puffs! She was last onstage at YAT performing with her wife in Songs for a New World and also served as Assistant Director for Into the Woods. She was also a YACTOR in her youth performing in shows such as Once Upon a Mattress (Queen Aggravain), A Chorus Line (Shelia), Noises Off (Dotty/Mrs. Clackett), and Grease (Cha Cha). She has also performed at numerous places in San Diego including Coronado Playhouse and OnStage Playhouse. Her favorite roles include: Sally in The Wild Party, Jo in Swingtime Canteen, and Ethel in 42nd Street. Her current residency is in the role of Crew Member at the La Mesa Trader Joe’s. She would like to thank her family for their everlasting love and support.

Jerrica Ignacio (she/her), is an award winning pianist and music director with over a decade of local performance experience in the classical and musical theater communities. Her favorite Musical Director and Conductor credits include productions at Young Actors' Theatre, Encore Theater, Carlsbad Community, Lamplighters, Coronado Playhouse, Patio Playhouse, and Teatro San Diego. Special thanks to Chrissy, Kim, Jean, Katie, and Alexa for letting me join you on stage for such a hilarious show!

Astrid is excited to be back stage managing with YAT! She's previously worked on The Jungle Book, High School Musical, The Lion King, and 13 The Musical as stage manager, and Seussical as assistant director. Astrid has thought of YAT as a second home for 8 years working on stage, backstage, and in the booth, and is thrilled to be part of this wonderful project to support the theater.

Jean is so excited to be on stage, (after so many years,) with these amazingly talented ladies. As founder of Young Actors' Theatre, Jean has long felt the pull of the arts for the benefit of youth in the community. Having directed numerous shows over the last 25 years, some directing favorites are : West Side Story, Hairspray, Les Miserables, Ragtime, and so many more! Jean is excited to be a part of this project to raise funds for Young Actors’ Theatre!

Kim is thrilled to be back working at YAT!  She lived and worked for many years in New York, and has performed all over the country. Some favorite roles include: Jennyanydots in “Cats,” Kate in “Kiss Me, Kate,” Frankie in “Frankie and Johnny at the Clair de Lune,” and Josie in “A Moon for the Misbegotten.”  More recently, she portrayed Phyllis in “Follies,"Miss Hannigan in “Annie,” Emma Goldman in “Ragtime,” and Donna in "Mamma Mia." She has directed “The Lion King” and “Alice in Wonderland” at Young Actors' Theatre. She also works a great deal at Off-Broadway Live in Santee.  Kim thanks her husband and children for all their support and patience!

Alexa is thrilled to be joining this all star cast! It is such an honor to work along side such fabulous women that she has looked up to for many years welcoming her to the cast after her directing debut of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown! All of these women have played an important part of helping her find her confidence on stage. She is simply overjoyed by all the love and support from her YAT family. She is a graduate of SDSU. She’s had the pleasure to work on past camps, classes, and shows. Some favorite choreographer credits include; Beauty & The Beast, Seussical, and  High School Musical. Some favorite roles include, Marcy Park (Spelling Bee), Peppermint Patty (Snoopy), Anybody's (West Side Story),and Pilar (Legally Blonde).

Katie Wallace-Coppo is a San Diego based director, choreographer, and dance instructor. Her passion for tap and contemporary dance enriches her unique approach to storytelling. She has worked artistically with multiple theaters and studios across San Diego county but will always call Young Actors' Theatre home. She currently works at La Jolla Playhouse in the Philanthropy Department and lives in La Mesa with her husband Rob, and her two step kids, Nick & Charlotte. Some of her favorite credits include: Muppets Camp, Descendants (YAT), Guys & Dolls (WHHS), Thoroughly Modern Millie (CPH), & West Side Story (YAT).
