A touching and satiric musical by theatrical legends Howard Ashman (Little Shop of Horrors, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast) and Marvin Hamlisch (A Chorus Line, They're Playing Our Song), Smile follows the intrigue and exploits onstage and behind-the-scenes as Santa Rosa, California plays host to the Young American Miss Pageant.

Chrissy Burns
I am thrilled to work with all of the emerging YAT royalty...
Chrissy Burns is a multi award winning director, producer, and choreographer with productions including Grease, Spelling Bee, 13 the Musical, Chicago, Sweet Charity, 42nd Street, and many more. She has served as Associate Director at the Old Globe Theater. Chrissy has worked as an actor in dozens of theatrical productions throughout San Diego. She was part of the cast of MiXtape, Lambs Players long running 80’s hit. Chrissy also works as a Marilyn Monroe Look-a-Like Entertainer. Other characters include Liza, Lucy, Janice Joplin, and Carmen Miranda. She has performed for San Diego’s top corporations, conventions nationwide and MTV Japan. Chrissy is a private Vocal Coach preparing her many students for a successful career in the performing arts. She has a passion for teaching and loves to help her students learn and grow while helping them achieve their full potential. SingWithChrissy.com

Andria Elam
Performing since she was 4, Andria is an accomplished dancer and vocalist. She has toured and performed in 13 states and 11 countries, which brought her into memorable venues such as the Sydney Opera House, Yokohama Stadium, and 4 Disney Theme Parks. One of Andria's most memorable jobs was performing at Disneyland for three years as part of their world-famous Character Department. She was also a professional cheerleader for 4 years for the San Diego Sockers.
Andria competed in pageants for 10 years. She is a former local titleholder with both the Miss America and Miss USA organizations and placed in the Top 10 at each state pageant. After being crowned Miss California with the Miss Galaxy Organization, she was 2nd runner-up at the international pageant in Florida. Andria currently works as a singer, dancer and stilt walker for several entertainment companies, and teaches Ballroom Dancing. When not performing, she can be found with her off-the-track Thoroughbred, Cranky Jack. Andria and Jack are training to compete in Hunters later this year.

Erik Mayuiers
Erik Mayuiers is happy to be working on YATs’ production of Smile with friend and director Chrissy Burns. Erik Mayuiers is a past alumni at Granite Hills High School, he has been in several shows such as John Lennon & Me, 12 Angry Jurors, Titus in The Curious Savage and Wilbur in Hairspray. Erik is also a phenomenal improvisational actor and hosts his own improv sessions with now a close group of friends. Erik graduated with accolades such as Best Male Actor, Best Minor Actor for Titus Savage, and an NYA nominee for his performance as Wilbur.
