Kim is so excited to be directing "The Lion King" at YAT.  This is her first time directing here, having previously performed as Miss Hannigan in “Annie,” and Emma Goldman in “Ragtime."  She lived and worked for many years in New York, and has performed and taught all over the country. Some favorite roles include: Jennyanydots in “Cats,” Kate in “Kiss Me, Kate,” Frankie in “Frankie and Johnny at the Clair de Lune,” and Josie in “A Moon for the Misbegotten.”  Thanks to YAT for all their support!

Jerrica began playing the piano at age 4 and it quickly became her life passion. She became a masterful pianist before moving to San Diego to study music at Grossmont College and San Diego State University. In high school and college she began to pick up other instruments; strings, reeds, and voice. She has played and sang in musical ensembles at Grossmont, SDSU and the City Ballet. Jerrica now performs around San Diego in multiple ensembles. She played in the orchestra for YAT'S production of Beauty and the Beast and Ragtime, and was previously the Music Director of YAT's Thoroughly Modern Millie, Into the Woods and My Son Pinocchio, Jr. as well as stage managing Peter and the Starcatcher, Wizard of Oz, Annie and Seussical.

Wilfred is a California based artist and has worked as a dance instructor/performance coach with the Sweetwater Union High School District and the YMCA of San Diego for over a decade. Wilfred trains at MCIT Studio (Meisner and Chekhov technique) and is currently completing his M.A. in Theatre Arts: Dramaturgy and K-12 Education at San Diego State University where he holds a B.A. in Theatre Performance: Acting and Musical Theatre. He has most recently worked as a teaching artist with CYT and other K-12 programs as a guest-teaching artist: COSA, Chaparral High School (Temecula), freelance. Wilfred has created numerous award-winning dance theatre pieces, colorguard shows and choreographed a variety of musical theatre works. Wilfred is also actively performing as a cabaret artist, musical theatre performer and dramatic actor. Most recently, Wilfred performed at SeaWorld San Diego in the original west coast cast of "O Wondrous Night". Other credits include Playwright's Project, Coronado Playhouse, OnStage Playhouse, Patio Playhouse, and university stages at UCSD, SDSU, Southwestern College, and San Diego City College. Before transitioning to musical theatre, Astrid studied ballet for 8 years, performing at various venues around San Diego county. She has since performed in 12 shows at YAT since 2014, including Grandma Addams (The Addams Family), Queen Aggravain (Once Upon a Mattress), Olive (Spelling Bee), Miss Flannery (Thoroughly Modern Millie), and most recently as Black Stache (Peter & The Starcatcher). Next year she will be attending college to pursue a degree in Theatre Arts. She was previously the Stage Manager for The Jungle Book, High School Musical and Assistant Director for Seusssical.

Luis has been in Theatre since 2014. He has previously been in shows at SD junior theatre, SD SCPA, CYT, City College, and Jcompany. Shows include The Addams Family (Gomez) and Les Misérables (Jean Valjean). He is currently attending city college to pursue a degree in Dramatic Arts. This will be his first time working with YAT! He is very excited to be a part of the team as the assistant stage manager!
