A Greek muse inspires love, laughter and the world's first roller disco in this 1980s glitter explosion. This Tony Award-nominated, hilarious, roller skating, musical adventure about following your dreams despite the limitations others set for you, rolls along to the original hit score composed by pop-rock legends, Jeff Lynne and John Farrar. Based on the Universal Pictures cult classic movie of the same title, which starred Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly, Xanadu is hilarity on wheels for adults, children and anyone who has ever wanted to feel inspired.

Xanadu follows the journey of a magical and beautiful Greek muse, Kira, who descends from the heavens of Mount Olympus to Venice Beach, California. in 1980 on a quest to inspire a struggling artist, Sonny, to achieve the greatest artistic creation of all time – the first ROLLER DISCO! (Hey, it's 1980!) But, when Kira falls into forbidden love with the mortal Sonny, her jealous sisters take advantage of the situation, and chaos abounds.

Originally from the Bay Area, Joe moved to attend college at UC San Diego where he received his bachelor’s degree in Theatre. After receiving his degree, Joe worked with a few San Diego based theatre companies, including being stage manager for a production with Ion Theatre Company. He also was production stage manager for the Latin American Multimedia Company and their television production of Dos y Dos. For YAT, Joe has been both on stage and behind the scenes, and was stage manager for YAT’s productions of Grease, The Music Man, Hairspray, Shrek and Beauty and the Beast, as well as director for Schoolhouse Rock, Legally Blonde, Peter & the Starcatcher and Seussical.

Jerrica is an accomplished musician and plays piano, strings and reeds with various ensembles around San Diego. She is very excited to be returning to music direct for such a fun and energetic show! Previous Music Director credits include YAT's Thoroughly Modern Millie, Into the Woods, My Son Pinocchio, Jr., and Lion King Jr. She also stage managed for YAT's Peter and the Starcatcher, Wizard of Oz, Annie, Seussical,  Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland, jr.  Jerrica is excited to be in such a fun production, Xanadu!

Marc Caro is a native San Diegan performer and choreographer. He is thrilled to be back at Young Actors’ Theatre after working on The Wizard of Oz & Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory as choreographer, as well as being a YAT student in his youth. Other choreography credits:  Seussical the Musical, Newsies and Tuck Everlasting (San Diego Junior Theatre). She Loves Me (Scripps Ranch Theatre). Reefer Madness (OB Playhouse) Performance credits include:The Old Man and the Old Moon, A Chorus Line and Seussical(Coronado Playhouse). Shockheaded Peter (Cygnet), She Loves Me (SRT), La Posada Magica(Hispanic Arts Theatre), Reefer Madness and Avenue Q (OB Playhouse).

Trevor Showers is a current sound design and stage management student at Grossmont college and former head sound technician at Valhalla's Theatre Arts department. Previously, Trevor has stage managed Qui Nguyen's She Kills Monsters, Shakespeare's As You Like It, and Footloose.
